Radiative friction, critical ruptures and Kalman-La'vy filte

Abstract

We summarize the progresses obtained in three research projects: (1)the regime of large velocity friction and the discovery of acoustic radiation feedback, (2)the critical earthquake concept and (3)the introduction of a new multiscale data-adaptative wavelet tool and the solution of the data assimilation problem (Karman filter) in the presence of power law noise.
